Tech-infused
Projects
My goal as an educator is to inspire students to love learning and to view it as a lifelong endeavor. The part that technology integration has played in my pursuit of that objective cannot be understated. From problem-solving projects using Lego robotics to telling stories with stop motion animation to learning the basics of Python, collaborating to integrate technology has been pivotal in my ability to create meaningful learning opportunities for my students.

Lego Robotics
Tasked with sending a surprise note to a favorite former teacher, students built and coded Lego robots to navigate the hallways of the school to deliver the message. Learning centered around the engineering design process and the use of block coding.

Stop Motion Animation
Using Stop Motion Studio, students in this interest group told a story using simple animation. Learning centered around tech tools, including iPhones, tripods, and the Stop Motion app as well as literacy skills, including story structure and problem-solution.

CodeCombat
In this project, students learned the basics of Python through game-based problem-solving challenges. Learning centered around developing the habits of mind of problems-solvers and applying those practices to specific coding challenges.
